日本で働く外国人の数は146万人を越え、日本で働く45人に1人は外国人となりました。そんな中、日本はさらに外国人労働者を増やそうと、2018年12月に出入国管理法改正法を成立させました。政策を策定する過程で懸念されるのが、今まで日本で働いてきた外国人労働者たちの問題が置き去りにされたままであることです。このドキュメンタリーでは外国人労働者の負の部分を浮き彫りにし、拙速に過ぎる政策の問題点を考えます。

While the Japanese government moves forward with reforms to admit an increasing number of migrants, the underlying contradictions in the country’s so-called “foreign worker acceptance” policies remain unresolved – putting thousands of foreigners in precarious situations.
